BLAST Premier is a leading esports tournament organizer, specializing in the highly competitive world of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO). Founded in 2017 as a part of RFRSH Entertainment, a Danish esports marketing and media company, BLAST Premier has quickly become a prominent name in the esports industry, known for its innovative tournament formats and high-quality production values. History of Blast Premier

Initially established as a subsidiary of RFRSH Entertainment, the first BLAST Pro Series event took place in Copenhagen in 2017, featuring six of the world’s top CS:GO teams. Following the success of the inaugural event, BLAST Premier expanded its operations and began hosting tournaments across the globe, including locations such as Istanbul, Miami, and São Paulo. In October 2019, RFRSH Entertainment rebranded and restructured as BLAST, separating itself from team ownership to focus solely on the BLAST Premier tournament series, which has since continued its growth independently.

Blast Tournaments

BLAST Premier’s tournament structure is designed to ensure a competitive and exciting environment for both players and viewers. The season is divided into two halves: Spring and Fall, each consisting of a series of Regular Season events, Showdowns, and Finals. The top teams from each half qualify for the annual BLAST Premier Global Final, where they compete for the title of World Champion and a share of the substantial prize pool.

The Regular Season events feature round-robin group stages, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the single-elimination playoffs. Showdowns serve as a second-chance qualifier for teams that did not secure a direct spot in the Finals. The unique format provides ample opportunity for underdog stories and dramatic comebacks, contributing to an engaging viewer experience.
